Abstract
PURPOSE: A vinyl halide polymer is dissolved in a specific solvent in a specified concentration and the spinning is conducted by extruding the solution out of annular slits and simultaneously introducing a particular liquid into the hollow parts, thus producing hollow fibers of high strength and dializability.
CONSTITUTION: When hollow fibers are made by extruding a solution of vinyl halide polymer as polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-vinylidene chloride copolymer, etc., in an organic solution out of annular slits and simultaneously introducing a liquid into the inside of the hollow parts, tetrahydrafuran and/or dioxane are used as a solvent, the concentration is adjusted to 5W30g/100ml, a liquid that is soluble in tetrahydrofuran and dioxane and dissolves or swells the vinyl halide polymer is used as the liquid that is introduced into the hollow parts, such as cyclohexanone, dimethyl sulfoxide, and the spinning temperature is set to a temperature at least 6°C lower than the boiling point of the organic solvent given above.
