Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a cooling of the bearing operable without using a cooling water, by operating a cooling of the heat generating source in a manner to radiate a heat, generated from the heat generating source like bearings, into the water, passing through the water wheel, through a heat pipe inscribed and inserted in the shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe 5 is provided being inscribed in the hollow part provided in a shaft 2, and a heat, generated in a bearing 1 during an operation of the water wheel, is transmitted to an evaporating unit 5a at one end side of the heat pipe 5 through the shaft 2. And by this heat, is evaporated an operating liquid 7 sealed in the heat pipe 5, causing a pressure in a portion of the evaporating unit 5a to rise, then with the vaporized operating liquid 7 moving toward a direction of full line arrow mark A, as shown in the drawing, in the heat pipe 5, to reach a condenser part 5b with the shaft 2 exposed in a water path, the heat is removed by the water through the shaft 2 and the operating liquid is condensed, with the condensed operating liquid 7 moving toward a direction of broken line arrow mark B, as shown in the drawing, to return back to the evaporating unit 5a, with a repectition made to operate a cooling of the heat generating source.
