Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide remarkably reducing method of driving power in no-load running of air compressor capable of applying to existing air compressor as its adapter by making use of such simple devices as suction regulating valve, air/lubricant reservoir, pressure adjusting valve, air control valve, and the like.
CONSTITUTION: On the way from no-load running to load running, if pressure air is consumed in air consumer section, air pressure is lowered down to preset value of pressure adjusting valve 8, and further lowered to atmospheric pressure through pressure regulator valve 23 so that open passages 19a, 19'a of air control valve 12 is thereby closed, and that air/lubricant reservoir 5 will become functional as its original feature to store discharged air temporarily. When air pressure is lowered to a value less than that where suction regulating valve 3 begins to reduce its suction passage area, its suction valve 16 begins to open, so that load running is started and pressure in reservoir 5 is accordingl y raised until full load running is attained. Thus, load and no-load runnings are automatically repeated efficiently in compliance with consuming amount of pressure air.
