Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a rugged pattern on the surface of a bar resin material by heating the resin material reinfroced with a glass fiber impregnated with a thermoplastic resin to semi-hardening on the surface of a mandrel and then forming a spiral channel on the surface of the resin material.
CONSTITUTION: A glass fiber roving 3 impregnated with resin liquid is trimmed on the outer periphery of a mandrel 1 through a fine hole provided on an orientation plate 4. A tubular material 8 coming out of the opening of a squeezer 6 passes the hole of a heating die 9 to gelatinization and semi-hardening. A metallic line is wound spirally round the outer periphery of the tubular resin material 8, which is hardened in a heating furnace 11 with a spiral channel 18 formed on the surface. Next, the metallic line 16 is taken up on a winder 20 from the resin material 8, and the resin material 8 with its surface rugged in continuous wave form is drawn out by a leading device 13.
