Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure an automatic correction for the watch time without incorporating any the correction device by actuating the time correction circuit of the watch based on the time signal detection signal sent from the correction device which can be freely attached and detached to/from the watch.
CONSTITUTION: Detection part 16 of correction device 11 opens the window for one minute every hour to apily the power voltage to receiver 3. Thus receiver 3 is put under the reception state, and part 16 detects the time signal given during that one minute and delivers the detection pulse. This detection pulse drives time correction circuit 5 of watch 12 which is detachable to device 11 via photo coupler 15 comprising LED13 and photo diode 14. The signal showing the present time is applied to circuit 5 from watch circuit 6. Based on this signal, the time is corrected, and the display of circuit 6 is set to the correct time by the correction signal. In this way, the time can be corrected automatically synchronizing with the time signal without incorporating any correction device.
