Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to accomplish the hand adjustment for time correction easily and reliably with safety by compensating the time period, for which the second hand is stopped, in response to the drive signal, which is different from the normal one, after the stop of the second hand is released.
CONSTITUTION: The signal coming from the operation of an externally actuating member 7 is compared by a timer 8 to reset a frequency-dividing circuit 2 or bring an up- and down-counter 9 into its operative condition. In response to the subsequent signal, the count-down signal is fed to a drive circuit 3. As a result, when the third-step position of a winding stem as the member 7 is located at a longer position that the set one second of the timer, the normal hand adjustment will reset the circuit 2. In the case of the time shorter than one second, the operation preparing signal is fed to the counter 9 so that this counter 9 begins to count the second signals at the time when the hand is adjusted. When the winding stem is pushed from its third step position to its first step position, the counter 9 uses the signal midway of the circuit 2 at the count-down so that the fast-foward signal is fed to the drive circuit thereby to compensate the stop time period.
