Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the installation and wiring of a detecting switch for electrostatic capacitive type liquid surface level in such a manner that the decrease in insulation of the periphery of the detector is entirely regardless of its principle and structure by integrally constructing the detector and oscillator thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrode plates 24, 24' are disposed along the inner peripheral wall of a dielectric insulator enclosed housing 21, and an oscillator 25 containing a high frequency oscillating circuit operating as part of a resonant circuit with the stray capacity between the electrode plates is internally contained in the housing 21. The electrostatic capacity between the electrode plates 24 and 24' is largely varied between when the housing 21 is immersed in the liquid and when it is in air to thereby alter the oscillating frequency of the oscillating circuit.
