PURPOSE:To eliminate unpleasantness in switching by providing a semi-stereophonic mode which is close to stereophonic one when an antenna input signal level is high and to monophonic one when low. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with an antenna input signal level, the amplitude of a switching signal obtained by switching signal generator 8 is varied by controlling variable gain amplifier 31 by level detector 11 to drive linear stereophonic demodulator 32.
