Abstract
PURPOSE:To position an optical fiber to the center of the optical fiber supoorting part by mounting two pipes to the end part of the optical fiber cable whose optical fiber and clad layer are exposed to the specified lengths. CONSTITUTION:The jack side of the optical connector is illustrated. The first pipe 20 which is inserted onto the outer side of the clad layer 12 of the optical fiber 11 of an optical fiber cable 10 and has a collar on the outer side and the second pipe 30 which is inserted commonly across the portion covered with an intermediate layer of said pipe and the sheath layer 14 of the optical fiber cable 10 and has a collar on the outer side are mounted by means of an adhesive agent and the outer side thereof is integrally formed with synthetic resin to form an optical fiber cable support 40. The support 40 formed in this way is inserted into the connector body 50 and is pressed by a cable support nut 60 to constitute the connector.
