Abstract

PURPOSE:To use the operation display element also for the overcurrent display purpose for the contactless switch containing the circuit part including the output switching element which turns on and off according to the detection and non- detection active states of the substance plus the display element which turns on and off according to the above mentioned active states. CONSTITUTION:The time constant circuit consisting of capacitor 43 and resistance 42 connected between the power lines is installed along with timer circuit 41 which generates the output until the overlap voltage of capacitor 43 reaches the fixed value plus overcurrent detection circuit 51 which detects the current flowing to output switching element 61 exceeds the fixed value and then discharges capacitor 43 in circuit 41. Thus the output of circuit 41 is used as the control signal which turns off the switching output and also turns on display element 34. As a result, the output switching element can be protected from the overcurrent, and at the same time the display element for operation display can be used also for diaplay of the overcurrent.
