Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely turn over the front and back of copying machine which undergoes both side copying with a small constitution by sandwiching the copying paper with two pairs of rollers and rotating the side plate supporting these rollers thereby replacing the leading end and trailing end of the copying paper. CONSTITUTION:The copying paper 17 going into a front-back turner 22 from quides 51, 52 is conveyed by two pairs of rollers 56 and 59, 57 and 58. Its leading end is then deflected by a deflecting plate 27 and is directed toward a branch conveying path 90. When the trailing end of this copying paper 17 is detected, turning of the rollers 56 thru 59 is stopped through a controller. At the same time, the side plate of the device 22 supporting the rollers 56 thru 59 is turned 180 deg.. Then, part of the copying paper 17 is put in the state of being wound to the outside circumferential face of a cover 72 of the specified curvature, by which the front and back of the copying paper 17 are turned over. As the rollers 56 thru 59 turn, the copying paper is contained in the intermediate containing part through the conveying path 90, where both-side copying is accomplished. This constitution enables the front and back of the copying paper to be surely turned over with the small device provided in a limited space.
