Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a apparatus for controlling automatic choke of carburetor, which is capable of effecting "kick-down" and opening of choke valve by a single mechanism automatically by use of the difference of pressure acted on opposite sides of a pressure-responsive member and is equipped with a valve interconnected to the key switch for effecting appropriate control of the choke valve.
CONSTITUTION: When cranking is started by turning on the key switch, current is supplied to driving unit 29 and valve 30 is closed. Resultantly, suction vacuum is transmitted via passage 27 directly to vacuum chamber 23, and at the same time, suction vacuum lowered by atmospheric air introduced little by little from orifice 28 is transmitted to control chamber 24. Therefore, a first pressure-responsive member 21 is moved to the left, so that pin 25 of fast-idle cam 5 is pushed also to the left by means of rods 33, 25 and opening of throttle valve 2 is decreased. Simultaneously with the above, unloader arm 6 is turned in the same direction, so that opening of choke valve 1 is increased by means of rod 7 and arm 8.
