Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve connection at the time of gear change and accomplish smooth and safe operation by the structure wherein, when the opening of a choke valve is smaller than the preset opening, a negative pressure chamber is connected to the atmosphere by operating a switching valve, and the supply of supplementary air is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: Negative pressure chamber 8 of auxiliary air supply control valve device 6 is connected to the inside of suction manifold 2 via negative pressure conduit 17. Electromagnetic switching valve 18, which can be connected to the atmosphere, is placed inside negative pressure chamber 17. On the other hand, cam 22 is fixed on rod 20 of choke valve 5; and is provided also choke switch 24 having switch lever 23, which coordinates with cam 22. One side of the solenoid of switching valve 18 is connected to power supply 26 via ignition switch 25, and its other side is connected to choke switch 24. Choke switch 24 is turned on when lever 23 is brought into contact with cam 22; and at this time, the solenoid of switching valve 18 is energized and negative pressure chamber 8 is connected to the atmosphere.
