Abstract

PURPOSE: To make construction simple and enhance the rate of utilization of aperture value and shutter time by making combined controlling of iris and shutter through the utilization of a light responsive timer which operates on the subject light through the iris.
CONSTITUTION: When the subject light enters from a fully open iris 2, a timer 1 outputs the first time signal 0 of the time lenght t1 inversely proportional to the intensity of the subject light. During the time when the output signal becomes 1 after the time t1, an aperture value signal open line 4 is controlled to form an aperture value signal Vf. The aperture value signal Vf is applied to an iris driving device 6, by which the iris 2 is stopped down to the value corresponding to the Vf. Next, the timer 1 outputs the second time signal 0 of the time length t4 inversely proportional to the intensity of the subject light through the iris 2 and this signal controls a shutter time forming open line 7 which in turn forms the shutter time signal. Based on this signal, a shutter time restoring device 9 is operated to form the shutter time. Hence, the rate of utilization of the aperture value and shutter time may be enhanced by the simple construction.
