Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the response frequency and prevent the suction of air into the nozzle by performing the replenishment of ink to the injection pressure chamber thru the action of a bias diaphragms while the jetting of ink is made through the combination of two diaphragms. CONSTITUTION:The diagram I' of a voltage waveform driving an electrostrictive vibrator for jetting shows a process in which as the bias drive voltage rises, the capacity of a chamber 8 reduces to cause ink to discharge from the chamber 8 to the chamber 9 with a resulting rise in the pressure. This is also the suction process in which as the jetting drive voltage lowers the capacity 9 increases, causing the pressure to lower. Thus, cancelation between the rise and the drop in the pressure in the chamber 8 and the chamber 9 prevents increase in the negative pressure. In the period II', where the bias drive voltage further rises while being the discharge process, the jetting drive voltage is rising, rises in the pressure of both the chambers 8 and 9 are combined together to jet the ink drops strongly. In the period III', where the bias drive voltage rises while the jetting drive voltage falls, the rise and the drop in the pressure of the chambers 8 and 9 cancells each other thereby preventing increase in the negative pressure.
