Abstract
PURPOSE: To surely prevent the leakage of liquid crystal and achieve the improvement in reliability by forming the sealing part of the liquid crystal sealing port side on the side inner by the specified distance from the cutting position and sealing the liquid crystal sealing port with an organic adhesive agent.
CONSTITUTION: The sealing material 3 on the liquid crystal sealing part 4a side of the liquid crystal cell 4 which is cut and parted to individual cells is secured and formed on the side inner by d=0.05W0.5mm apart from the end faces of an upper plate 8 and lower plate 9. This liquid crystal sealing part 4a is bonded and set by an organic adhesive agent 10 such as, e.g. epoxy resin, after liquid crystal 6 has been sealed into the liquid crystal cell 4. With this constitution, the organic adhesive agent 10 readily infiltrates into the spacing of about 10μm between the upper plate 8 and lower plate 9 owing to capillarity and closes the portions of the frit sealing agent 3 as well, thus the leakage of the liquid crystal 6 may be perfectly prevented.
