Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect micro leakage positively by making temperature correction for pressure variation within a pipeline under static pressure state in consideration of residual air and calculating the pressure variation through leakage to measure the leakage amount.
CONSTITUTION: A residual air amount measuring circuit 22 calculates a residual air amount based on both electric signals for liquid injection amount and pressure rise measured several times by a flow meter 14 and a pressure gauge 15 during increase of pressure within a pipeline 1 and initial conditions set in a initial conditions setting circuit 23. Calculated result is memoried in a leakage amount calculating circuit 25. Then, electric signals for pressure and temperature measured several times by a pressure gauge 16 and a thermometer 17 under the setting static pressure of the pipeline 1 are input to the leakage amount calculating circuit 25 to compute a leakage amount based on the residual air amount, initial pressure and initial temperature. After repeating this measuring at predetermined intervals for 24 hours, the presence of micro leakage is judged through the comparison of a calculated error obtained from initial conditions through a leakage presence judging circuit 28 with the measured data for 24 hours.
