Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid the line crossing and thus to facilitate an easy formation of the plane circuit by installing the phase shifter which gives the 180°-phase deviation only to the signal of high frequency and the local oscillation signal within the diode ring to carry out the conversion for the opposite-phase signals.
CONSTITUTION: Phase shifters 9, 10 and 11, which give the 180°-phase deviation to the local oscillation given from terminal 12 and the high frequency signal sent from terminal 13, are installed to the double balance converter consisting of diodes 14∼17. Then the local oscillation signal from terminal 12 is applied directly to diodes 16 and 17 from joint 3 as well as to diodes 14 and 15 from joint 4 with the 180°-phase shift given by phase shifter 9 and in the opposite phase. In the same way, the high frequency from terminal 13 is supplied directly to diodes 14 and 17 as well as to diodes 15 and 16 in the opposite phase via phase shifters 10 and 11. In such way, the cross part of lines can be omitted in constitution of the circuit, thus facilitating an easy formation of the plane circuit.
