Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the reduction powdering resistance of sintered ore by controlling the oxygen concn. of a sucked gas for sintering in manufacture of the ore for a blast furnace in a Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine.
CONSTITUTION: The sintering zone of pallet moving line 19 of the Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine is divided into the first half and the second half portion in a ratio of 1W0.3:1. The strand of the second half portion is covered with hood 24. Exhaust gas of a low oxygen concn. from all of wind boxes 20 of the machine is sucked through dust collector 21 and exhaust fan 22. Part of the gas is released into flue 27 after desulfurization and denitration 25. The remainder is fed into hood 24. Air is also fed into hood 24 with air fan 28 through electric-powered damper 29 to control the oxygen concn. of the sucked gas for sintering in hood 24. Thus, sintered ore on pallet 19 is uniformly provided with superior reduction powdering resistance independently of the upper and the lower layer.
