Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the gradation reproducibility by shifting the position of the scanning line with every frame to increase virtually the number of scanning lines and thus eliminating the gap between the scanning lines.
CONSTITUTION: The vertical synchronous signal taken out of the synchronous isolation circuit is made to pass through four units of the delay circuits which can be switched sequentially to be then supplied to the vertical deflection circuit. In such constitution, scanning line A is shifted up to dot-line position a1 on the screen and at the first frame and then to position a2 in the next frame. In the same way, the scanning line is shifted subsequently to position a3 in the third frame and then to position a4 in the fourth frame each. According to such shift of line A, the adjacent scanning line B also has the same shift. In this connection, the delay time is set to O for circuit A, 1/2 horizontal scanning period for circuit B, 1/4 for circuit C and 3/4 for circuit D respectively. In such way, the gap between the scanning lines can be eliminated to obtain a hard copy featuring the good gradation reproducibility.
