Abstract

PURPOSE: A sealing material of foamed polyurethane that is made by adding an animal or vegetable oil to a polyether polyol resulting from addition of polyalkylene oxide and a polyisocyanate and effecting foaming.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyetherpolyol containing more than 90 mol% of an alkylene oxide of 3 or more carbon atoms and/or polyester polyol, (B) a polyisocyanate, as the major components, and (C) a substance substantially consisting of hydrocarbon softening or melting below 150°C and boiling over 200°C, animal or vegetable oil or dioctyl phthalate are incorporated together and they are foamed to produce said polyurethane foam with continuous cellular structure and less than 10cc/cm2/sec air permeability at 10mm thickness and more than 75° in the contact angle with water.
