Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily mass-produce internally bent thick glass products unfit for blow molding by passing press-molded glass products through a heating zone while rotating them on a rotary stand to soften each mouth of the products and by pressing each mouth to the inside with a pressing board set along the progress direction of the stand.
CONSTITUTION: Press-molded glass products 9 are transferred onto rotary stand 9, and each mouth of products 9 is strongly heated in heating zone 11 to soften the vicinity of each mouth as well as to carry out the so-called fire finishing. Products 9 passed through zone 11 are sent to working zone 12 to press gradually strongly each mouth of products 9 to the inside with first pressing board 13, deforming each mouth as shown by the drawing. During this time, each mouth top 17 of products 9 is pressed down with second pressing board 14 to prevent products 9 from slipping out of stand 6 or inclining on stand 6.
