Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the concentration of 1CW8C hydrocarbons, alcohols or the like contained as impurities and improve the printability, odor or the like by a mechanism wherein a polyolefin is contacted with an inert gas conuntercurrectly and dried by using two or more silo shaped air passage type drying and storage tank.
CONSTITUTION: The cake of polyolefin containing 1CW8C hydrocarbons, 1CW8C alcohols or the like as impurites is supplied to the first stage of an air passing type box shaped fluidized dryer 2 from a line 1 to reduce the concentration of hydrocarbons, alcohols to below 2wt% and is passed to an outside tank 6, a line 9, a cyclone 10 through a line 4 and a cyclone 5, and flowed downwardly to dry the said polyolefin while countercurrently contacted with the nitrogen gas supplied from the upper part of an inside tank 11 through line 14. Thereby, the contained hudrocarbons and alcohols are reduced moreover.
