Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the dehydration efficiency of a high moisture sludge by recirculating a part of a finely divided dried sludge solid as a dehydration aid from a cyclone separator.
CONSTITUTION: A high moisture sludge is flowed into a stirring and mixing tank 2 and transferred to a dehydrator 5 by a pump to separate said sludge into water and a solid substance. The solid substance is thrown into a fluidized air stream type dryer 7 by a conveyor 6. The fluidized air stream type dryer 7 has stirring vanes 8 equipped to a lower portion thereof and a hot gas for drying is blown into said dryer from a hot gas generating furnace 9. The dried solid substance is accumulated in a cyclone separator 10 and recovered into a fertilizer tank 13 through a rotary valve, but a part thereof is returned to the stirring tank 2 as a dehydration aid by a conveying instrument of a feeder 12. The dried sludge finely puluerized by the stirring vanes acts as a dehydration aid effectively.
