Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the title composite including super-microparticle of metal uniformly dispersed in polymer by a mechanism wherein metal is precipitated out by reducing a chemical plating bath of metal under the presence of high molecular microparticles in a dispersed condition.
CONSTITUTION: The high molecular latex obtained by emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer such as vinyl acetate, (meth)acrylic acid ester or the like or the diluted soln. thereof and an aqueous precious metal salt soln. of silver nitrate, chloroauric acid or the like having a catalytic activity are mixed so as to adjust the content of precious metal salt above about 25wt% to the latex solid to prepare a high molecular latex-precious metal salt mixed soln. Subsequently, to this mixed soln., a chemical plating bath of metal such as Cu, Ni, Zn or the like is added so as to regulate the amount of metal to be precipitated out 0.1W9 times by wt. to the latex solid and reduced in the presence of a reductant at a room temperatureW95°C to obtain a metal-polymer composite containing uniformly dispersed metal super- microparticles below 1μm particle size.
