Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain distinct positive images by exposing negative images to an electrophotographic photoreceptor after deposition of conductive and non-photosensitive light-transmittable particles thereon, charging the particle images obtained through the removal of the particles having been weakened or eliminated of electrostatic attraction and transferring the same onto an image receiving medium. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic photoreceptor 3 comprising providing a photoconductor layer 2 on a conductive substrate 1 is evenyl charged with a corona charger 4 in a dark place. Next, conductive and non-photosensitive light-transmittable particles 6 are sprayed on the surface with a particle sprayer 5, whereby the particles 6 are electrostatically deposited on the photoreceptor 3 and are arranged nearly to one layer. Next, the photoreceptor 3 is exposed through a negative film 7 so that the charges thereon corresponding to the exposed parts are light-attenuated. Thence, the particles having been weakened or eliminated of electrostatic attraction on the photoreceptor 3 are removed by using an electromagnetic vibrator 8 or the like, after which the particles 6 are charged by a corona charger 9 to transfer the particles 6 on an image receiving medium 11. In this way, the black and white or color positive images are obtained.
