Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable continuous measurement of fluctuation in liquid level and facilitate maintenance, by improving an ultrasonic wave guide. CONSTITUTION:A direction changing part 14 is provided on the front end of an ultrasonic wave guide 13. An ultrasonic transducer 18 is attached to the rear end of the guide 13. Ultrasonic waves transmitted through the guide 13 is oriented to the surface P of a liquid 12 by the direction changing part 14. The ultrasonic waves reflected on the surface of the liquid are returned into the guide 13 by the direction changing part 14. The input/output time difference of the transducer is measured by a time difference measuring circuit 21 to determined the level of the liquid.
