Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to operate stable air/fuel ratio control over the entire region of operation, high and low, of the engine, by the structure wherein a mixer of the variable venturi system is adopted, and the fuel gas pressure to be drawn into the mixer is controlled by a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
CONSTITUTION: LPG from bomb 1 passes through pipe 7 and enters primary chamber 13 of vaporizer 10 and gasifies. When the pressure of this fuel gas becomes higher than a specified pressure, the coil spring of atmosphere chamber 14 is compressed and No.2 diaphragm 17 is pressed down. By this, valve seat 19 is made to approach the open end of pipe 7 by means of a lever, and thereby the amount of LPG is reduced. Fuel gas whose pressure is set slightly higher than atmospheric pressure is drawn into secondary chamber 12 through a small hole provided on partitioning plate 16. At this time, the pressure is adjusted by valve seat 8, which is moved corresponding to the negative pressure in negative pressure chamber 11. Subsequently, fuel gas flows from nozzle 23 of variable venturi type mixer 20 into venturi unit 22 and is mixed with intake air.
