Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A carbostyril derivative of formula I (R1 is H, alkyl, or phenylalkyl group; R2 is H, OH, or alkyl group; R3 is cycloalkyl, phenyl, cycloalkylalkyl, or β-3,4-dimethoxy phenethyl group; R4 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, phenylalkyl, or cycloalkylalkyl group; the bond between the carbon atoms at the 3- and 4-positions of the carbostyril skeleton is single or double bond).
EXAMPLE: 6-[3-(N-Methyl-N-cyclohexylaminocarbonyl)propoxy]carbstyril.
USE: Preventives and treating agents for thrombosis, drugs for ulcers, or anti-inflammatory agents, having improved blood platelet antiagglutinating, phosphodiesterase inhibitory, or anti-inflammatory actions.
PROCESS: A substituted propenyloxy-carbostyril derivative of formula II is hydrogenated to give the objective compound of formula I.
