Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Carbostyril derivatives of formula I (R1 is H, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, phenyl-lower-alkyl, lower alkylthio; R2 is H, lower alkyl, phenyl- lower- alkyl, lower alkenyl; A is lower alkylene; B, Z are O, S; the carbon-carbon bond between the 3- and 4-positions in the carbostyril skelton is single or double) and their salts.
EXAMPLE: 6-[3-(1,3,4-Oxadiazol-5-yl)propoxy]carbostyril.
USE: Blood platelet coagulation ingibitor (prophylactic or remedy for thrombosis), phosphodiesterase inhibitor, antitumor agent, cardiotoner (positive cardiac muscle stimulator), anti-inflammatory, hypotensor, central nervous system depressant (tranquilizer).
PREPARATION: The reaction of a compound of formula IVb with another compound of formula V (R4 is lower alkyl) affords the compound of formula Ib.
