Abstract
PURPOSE: To materialize perfect separation of evaporating fuel in such a way that part of air discharged by air pump is used as purge air in the driving area in need of secondary air, while said discharged air is supplied into a canister part in the unnecessary area to get the secondary air.
CONSTITUTION: A canister 1 which incorporates adsorbent 2 absorbs and captures evaporating gas engendered in a fuel tank 3 and a float chamber 7, evaporating fuel absorbed and captured by purge air during engine drive is purged and supplied into an air cleaner 8. In this case, it is constituted to use secondary air for exhaust purifying countermeasure as purge air for the canister 1. In other words, in concurrence of starting from an air pump 9 in trifurcation with a secondary air passage 11 with providing a throttling passage 14 to lead through an orifice 16 to the canister 1, and a passage 15 to bypass through a control valve 18 crossing the throttling passage 14, in the unnecessary area to get the secondary air, the control valve 18 is opened, to supply the canister 1 with a large amount of air through the bypass passage 15.
