Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the pincushion distortion in the vertical direction on the display screen by supplying the correction current to the vertical deflecting coil from the vertical deflecting circuit in accordance with the vertical pincushion distortion amount on the display screen of the cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:Comparator 2 receives the output of vertical deflecting saw-tooth wave voltage generator 1 and then delivers the two-system output of the levels inverted to each other through terminals 2a and 2b and in the timing corresponding to the slice level. The horizontal deflecting saw-tooth current is supplied to horizontal deflecting coil 11 and S-shaped correcting capacitor 12 and then supplied to multiplier circuit 6 through input terminals 6b and 6c and via gate circuits 3 and 4 in which the output of terminals 2a and 2b are at the high levels. Circuit 6 carries out the multiplication among output 6a of absolute value circuit 5 which obtains and delivers the absolute value of the saw-tooth voltage plus input signals 6b and 6c. Then output signals 6e and 6d are applied to adder circuit 8 directly and via inversion circuit 7 respectively.
