Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out temperature rise of sintering exhaust gas certainly and effectively by a small amount of fuel by a method wherein ammonium sulphate within sintering exhaust gas is removed and thereafter oxidizing and burning reaction of carbon monoxide is carried out.
CONSTITUTION: A sintering exhaust gas treating apparatus comprises a moving layer type ammonium sulphate removing reactor 2, a carbon monoxide reactor 3, a denitration reactor 5 or the like. The sintering exhaust gas is passed through a heat exchanger 1 to heat to about 250W300°C and, by alumina spheres filled in a moving layer type ammonium sulphate removing reactor 2, ammonium sulphate within exhaust gas is decomposed and removed. Subsequently, ammonium sulphate removed exhaust gas is introduced into a carbon monoxide reactor 3 to contactively oxidizing and burning carbon monoxide to increase a temperature of exhaust gas. Thereafter, exhaust gas is heated by a heating furnace to about 350W420°C and passed through a denitration reactor 5 to remove nitrogen oxides by an ammonium contact reducing method.
