Abstract

The mirror 11 moves at a velocity V in the arrow direction 19, the mirror 13 moves at a velocity V/2 in the same direction and the drum 14 rotates counterclockwise at a peripheral speed V. In the case of the mirrors 16, 17, the character P on the original 10 forms as an erecting inverted image but when the mirror 18 is used on the other hand, it forms as an inverted erecting image. In this way, changing-over of the erecting and inverted images free from any change in optical path length is made possible without changing the original conveying length.
