Abstract
PURPOSE:To vary frequency characteristics by selectively connecting auxiliary capacitor by exercising control over switching element on a common substrate under external control. CONSTITUTION:In a filter where capacitors CA1-CA8 connected to a signal input terminal and earth terminal by switching are arranged and connected by switching at a fixed clock frequency, auxiliary capacitors CAS1-CAS8 are provided in parallel to respective capacitors and then connected via switches S1-S8. A capacitor with a small value among capacitors determining frequency characteristics is regarded as a main capacitor, and a difference among respective capacitors corresponding to respective characteristics is considered to be the value of an auxiliary capacitor. For example, switches employ MOSFETs and are controlled by applying a direct- current voltage to gate electrodes. In this constitution, extremely-easy and selective variation in frequency characteristics can be done and all elements are arranged on the common substrate, so that miniature and excellent characteristic filters can be mass-produced.
