Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a distinct picture with no shading while obtaining even resolution in a screen, by varying the quantity of bias charge within one screen with different intervals of an array of bias light sources.
CONSTITUTION: The optical image of subject 11 is formed on a photosensitive part of CCD10 by way of pickup lens 12. Near this photosensitive part, bias light sources 15 are provided which are driven by voltage control circuit 16. The output signal of CCD10 is inputted to a process circuit via amplifier circuit 13 and after addition of a synchronizing signal, direct-current regeneration and gamma correction, an output is led to output terminal 17. Around photosensitive part 21 of CCD10, bias light sources (15-1)∼(15-7) are arranged closely at positions away from output terminal 24 and apart at positions close to it. Further, control is exercised at a different voltage by circuit 16 at need. Then, the optical image of subject 11 is formed on this photosensitive part 21 and its signal charge and bias charge are superposed and transferred in parallel to storage part 22 in a vertical blanking period to transfer a one-line signal to line transfer part 23, thereby obtaining an output signal.
