Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve centrifugal casting of shape tube with branch tube easily, by forming a cavity for forming branch tube in the branch tube position of a centrifugal casting mold in a metal frame, making part of the metal frame confronting thereto in a detachable cap body, and securing a core for forming tube branch in the inside thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A metal frame 1 forming a centrifugal casting sand mold 5 for main tube of shape tube having a branch tube is rotatably placed on plural rollers 2. When molding this mold 5, a cavity for forming branch tube opening to the inside thereof is formed. Part of the centrifugal casting metal frame 1 confronting this cavity 6 is a metallic cap body 7 which is freely detachable from the metal frame 1. In the central part of the inside of this cap body 7 is secured a core for forming branch tube 11, which is projected to the interior of the mold 5 by a size larger than the casting wall thickness of the tube main body through the cavity 6. Pouring molten steel into this mold, the metal frame 1 is rotated, so that a shape tube having a branch tube may be easily cast.
