Abstract
PURPOSE: To pattern of the mold for microwave hardening of low cost and easy and good parting characteristic which comprises forming a thin coating film layer of silicone rubber or fluorine-contained rubber on the surface of the main body composed of dry wood or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Inexpensive and easy-to-mold materials such as dry wood, synthetic wood, epoxy resin and acrylic resin are used for the pattern main body 1. The coating film layer 2 of silicone rubber or fluorine-contained rubber of good heat resistance and good parting characteristic is formed by brushing, spraying or hot dip coating on the surface of the main body 1. After the coating film layer 2 of the surface has sufficiently hardened, shell mold sand 3 containing dielectric is packed in this main body 1 and is microwave-hardened. Hence, the parting is made easier by the coating film layer 2 and since the main body 1 and heated sand do not make direct contact, no damages are given to the main body 1 and the pattern withstands repeated uses.
