Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain perfluoro (4-alkyl-2-oxabicyclo [3°3°0]octanes) used for inert solvents, etc. at a high yield by electrolytically fluorinating the specific carboxylic acids and their derivatives.
CONSTITUTION: The carboxylic acids such as 2-cyclopentyl methyl propionate, etc. expressed by formula I and their derivatives are introduced into an electrolytic cell into which hydrogen fluoride is introduced to allow these by dissolved in the hydrogen flouride. While He gas or the like is being supplied, they are electrolytically fluorinated to be thereby cyclized at the same time.
