Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Once a leaking water is developing in a shaft seal unit 11, the leaked water is splashed by the flat plate 16c of a vane followed to pass the water passage 15 combined with the air stream developed by the blade of the labyrinth 12 to discharge quickly to the outside through a vent 14. Accordingly, the leaked water may be reach to the motor side. Besides, since the lanyrinth 12 takes air in from the motor 1 side, the air stream is developed by the blade 13 and adds the air speed of the cooling air to cause to perform the leaked water discharge effectively. Further, since the power of the motor 1 is utilized for driving the labyrinth, the configuration may be simple because of the absence of a sliding part.
