Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the cooling effectiveness of a motor by a mechanism wherein the buffer material is provided between the motor and the motor cover for sealing the intake side and the exhaust side within the motor cover so as to allow all cooling air to enter into the motor.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 1 is cooled by a cooling air taken in from a suction port 15 developed by a fan 17 and exhausted at an exhaust port 16 through the motor 1. Since conventionally a buffer material which resists the air flow is used as a buffer material 12 to seal the intake side and the exhaust side within the motor cover 13, all air available from the suction port 15 may be taken in the motor 1, which can improve the cooling effectiveness by the cooling air of the motor 1. Besides, because an electric insulation rubber packing is used as a buffer 12, double insulation effectiveness may be obtained.
