Abstract

PURPOSE: A composition that contains a thiadiazine derivative and diisopropyl 1,3- dithiolan-2-ylidenemalonate, thus having remarkably increased insecticidal activity against leafhoppers which are major harmful insects to rice plant.
CONSTITUTION: Said insecticide composition contains a compound of formula I (n is 1, 2; X is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy; R1 and R2 are alkyl or aryl) or its salt and diisopropyl 1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidenemalonate. The use of the mixture of the above two compounds increases insecticidal activity remarkably, especially being effective against leafhoppers. The compounds of formula I have onvel skelton and readily is produced by reaction of a compound of formula II with a substituted thiourea of formula III.
