NEW MATERIAL:A 1-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-3-alkoxycarbonyl-2-quinolinoneimine derivative shown by the formula I (R is lower alkyl).
EXAMPLE: 1-(2,6-Dichlorophenyl)-3-ethoxycarbonyl-2-quinolineimine.
USE: An intermediate raw material for an o-(2,6-dichloroanylino)phenylacetate shown by the formula II useful as a drug.
PROCESS: N-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)anthranyl-aldehyde shown by the formula III is condensed with a cyanoacetate shown by the formula IV to give the desired compound shown by the formula I.
