CONSTITUTION: A storage reservoir 4 is constructed by digging down the central part 2 of a river between river walls 1. An opening part 11 is formed on the top 10 of the reservoir 4, an enclosure 12 is equipped around the opening part 11 and in addition on the top 10 of the reservoir 4 and on the enclosure 12 are provided slits 13', 13 and a filter for the purpose of preventing the inflow of the sediment. When the water of the river is swollen, it flows into the reservoir 4 from the slits 13, 13' of the enclosure 12 and the top 10. In the dry season the water in the reservoir 4 is discharged by a pump in order to be used as drinking water, irrigation water, industrial water, etc.
