Abstract
PURPOSE: To constitute character memory only with a single electron tube by combining an electron gun with a transparent secondary electron multiplying character mask.
CONSTITUTION: The electron beam 12 emitted from the electron gun 11 stopped by the electronic lens 13 and is focussed on the focussing plane F of another electronic lens 14. Point F is actuated as an actual electron source. The electron beam which starts from Point F is deflected toward the X and Y directions to irradiate a specified single or a number of character patterns with the first deflecting means 15. The secondary electron beam emitted from the rear of the character mask 16 is focussed on the pinhole plate 19 by way of the actuation of the uniform magnetic field lens 17. The electron beam which subsequently passes through the pinhole is converted into time series electrical signals by the detector 20.
