Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniformly and easily coat a high-viscosity urethane resin bonding agent, by previously coating the surface of a substrate with a solvent which does not react with urethane resin but is mixed well therewith.
CONSTITUTION: The surface 2 of a base board 1 for plywood or the like is coated by the first roll coater 3 with a solvent 4 which does not react with a urethane resin bonding agent such as methyl ethyl ketone but is freely mixed therewith. The high-viscosity urethane resin bonding agent 6 is then coated on the solvent 4 by the second roll coater 5. The solvent layer 4a and the resin bonding agent layer 6a mix with each other. As a result, the viscosity of the lower part of the bonding agent layer 6a falls and the lower part shows a very high flowing property. Therefore, the bonding agent layer 6a can be uniformly and easily coated on the surface of the base board 1. The used quantity of the solvent is not large although a great quantity of a solvent is needed in a conventional method. The bonding agent layer 6a keeps a high viscosity. The initial bonding property of the layer 6a does not fall in a long time.
