Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out the sludge kneading by a single apparatus smoothly and easily by a mechanism wherein the sludge is crushed by a roller contacted to a cylindrical metal screen portion with specific shape from the outside and foreign substances are removed by a circular plate portion of a screen feeder. CONSTITUTION:The sludge supplied at a constant quantity into a sealed drum 3 from a sludge supply chute 27 is crushed and pushed into by a screen feeder 1 and a roller 2 rotating to an opposite direction according to the rotation of the said screen feeder 1 and the greater part of the sludge is passed through a cylindrical portion b and dropped by the scraping action of a scraper 6. The sludge passed between a circular plate portion a of a screen feeder 1 and a lower surface of a roller 2 is guided along a guide plate, thereafter dropped through a circular plate portion a or a cylindrical portion b and, in this time, mixed foreign substances are removed from an exhaust chute 22. The dropped sludge is piled in a hopper 9 and pushed into by a screw 7, 7' rotating to a same direction, thereafter kneaded and dispersed by a paddle 8, 8' and extruded from an exhaust port 16.
