Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible die cooling and improve the durability of dies without decreasing production amount by disposing a plurality of the same dies for every process to the presses of the automated hot transfer forging line and using these alternately.
CONSTITUTION: Two pieces a set of the same dies of plural processes, i.e., the dies A3, B3 of the 1st process, the dies A4, B4 of the 2nd process and the dies A5, B5 of the 3rd process in this order are continuously arrayed between the bolster 1a and slide 1b of the automated forging press 1. The work 2 having been heated in a heating furnace goes through idle process A2 and is carried to the one die A3 side of the 1st process, thence it goes through the dies A4, A5 to complete forging. The next work 2 being carried in continuously is carried into the 1st process die B3 through the idle process B2 and goes through the dies B4, B5 to complete forging. Since the two pieces a set of the dies of the same process are alternately used, the cooling of the dies may be executed and durability improved.
