Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously forge the forgings of dissimilar kinds in the single line by disposing plural dies differing each for every process continuously to the press of the automated hot transfer forging line and subsequently transferring the works between the same kinds.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of dies of respectively different shapes of the moldings to be forged for every process, i.e., the dies of the 1st process A3, B3, 2nd process A4, B4 and 3rd process A5, B5 are continuously disposed between the bolster and slide of the automated forging press. The work 2 having been heated in a heating furnace is loaded to the jaw bodies 4a on the feeder A1 side and is carried to the one die A3 side of the 1st process through the idle process A2. The dissimilar kind work 3 carried in succession to the work 2 is carried to the die B2 through the jaw bodies 4b and idle process B2. The work 2 goes to the dies A4, A5 and the work 3 through the dies B4, B5 to respectively complete forging. The moldings are sent respectively to unloading processes A6, B6. In this way, the time for preparation, etc. of the dissimilar kind forgings may be shortened and productivity improved.
