Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the flow rate of intake air with high accuracy suitably for the carburization of fuel by controlling the valve-opening period of intake valve and the opening degree of throttle valve in an interlocked manner according to load.
CONSTITUTION: When rotating the throttle lever 13 to the left, the throttle valve 34 is also rotated to regulate its opening degree, whereby the amount of intake air at the time of low load is controlled. In this case, since the pistones 16 and 17 of the oil pressure controller 11 move to the left just slightly, the opening degree of the valve 19 is small and thus the oil pressure to push the cam shaft 3 is small. Accordingly, the moving amount of three-dimensional cal is small and the valve opening period of the intake valve 4 is short. When rotating the lever 13 to the left furthermore according to load, the throttle valve 34 is fully opened and also the pistons 16 and 17 move to the left greatly. Then, the oil pressure at the valve 25 becomes greater and thereby the cal shaft 3 is pushed to the left and the opening period of the intake valve 4 becomes longer.
